FYI
« on: October 04, 2010, 12:35:58 AM »

Two individuals have just reported that in going to the MABRC website their anti-virus software immediately picked up on a threat alert.

It seems a trojan virus was attached and trying to infect their computer.

Perhaps, it is a residual from the recent hacking episode of MABRC's site?

Be advised.

About 30 minutes ago I ran a complete (detailed) scan of my system using the installed anti-virus software.

Several threats/infections were found and remedied by the software.

Then, I went to the MABRC website and perused around for ~<5 minutes.

I immediately ran the anti-virus software but used only the quick scan mode.

It found two (2) Threats and five (5) infections with three (3) of those being potentially very harmful!

This appears to validate the claims made by others that the MABRC website is rife with infectious malware waiting to latch onto and possibly damage your system.

BE ADVISED !!!

DungwingLH recently posted that adware/spyware, et. al. is automatically reinstalled via MicroSoft Windows.

Funny thing is I just ran a virus check (cleaned the system) and shut it down, re-started it, came to this site and ran another virus check...it was still clean.

BM went to the MABRC site last evening and within a couple of minutes the virus alert system activated...took Mrs. BM ~2 hours to clean the 300+ threats that were picked up there.

Yet another member of the mabrc, sent me a personel e-mail telling me that he also got infected, and it cost him 150 bucks to have it repaired. I told him that if he goes back on there, he will be infected again.  Sounds to me like maybe Darren needs to shut down his site.

Perhaps in a bit of irony, what the MABRC site is experiencing happens to be precisely what one of their principals threatened the former owner of this website with a few months ago.

Isn't Kharma a strange thing?

Darren Lee has lambasted me for the above alerts insinuating I am "stupid" regarding computer/virus scan issues.

However, it seems he is the one with all the computer woes of late.

And, he (allegedly) works in some sort of IT capacity.

Perhaps, Forrest Gump was right: "stupid is as stupid does"   Shocked
