I was going through my file's at home, and found this bigfoot encounter, that had happened, to one of my clients, that was bow hunting, on my property, back in Oct 12, 2000
Bow season, Oct, 2000, one of my clients by the name of Keith, xxxxxxx, had an encounter, that he relayed to me, upon leaving the woods. He told me that he parked his truck at the gate, and walked in about 05:00 hrs. At approx 20 feet from his truck in total darkness with the exception of a few stars and a quarter moon, something very large and heavy, dropped out of a tree behind him, and when it hit the ground with great force and weight, it let out a grunt, as if it had knocked the wind out of itself when it jumped from the tree. It spooked Keith so bad, that he jumped off the ground about 2ft, (his words), and ran in total darkness, back to his truck, that was parked 20ft away. Upon reaching the truck, he fumbled for the keys, and finally unlocked the truck, in which he grabbed his flashlight and pistol. Keith jumped back and shined the flashlight around looking for the big creature that had jumped out of the tree. He saw nothing, the creature was gone and didn't make a sound leaving.
He was freaked out he said, so he just sat in his truck, untill the sun came up, then he walked the 300 yards, to his deer stand. He said he saw nothing that morning, but he was still shook up over the earlier happening. Keith came back to the truck and looked around the tree from which the creature had jumped from. He found a partle foot track in the hard soil, (we hadn't any rain that summer for 45 days, which made it the dryest summer in Okla history, other than the dust bowl days). He came up to the house and told me this story, and I decided to go back down to the field with him to check out his story. Upon arriving, I did see a partly foot track, or rather words the heel and right side of the foot. The heel was one and a half the diameter of my boot track, ( I wear size 12 boots), so it had some bigfeet. What impressed me was the depth of the track in the hard soil. I jumped up and down, beside the track, and I couldn't make a depth half the depth of the creature's track, so it must have weighed alot. We drove around the field and looked for more tracks, but found none, as the soil was as hard as cement.....I ask Keith, if he got to see the creature, and he said it was so black, that he couldn't make out shape's but a big black mass. He said that when the creature jumped out of the tree, it made the ground vibrate, he said that freaked him out also. I told him that it took some courage to run past the creature to get back to his truck in the dark. He said he had no other choice, and that he had never been so frightened in his life. He also said that it made more since if he was killed, to be killed by his truck, than to be killed down in the woods, the way he was thing about running, his thought was, if the creature killed him by his tyruck, then we might find his body/. Now keith stayed with me for the entire deer season, but he never hunting this spot ever again. He and I did have an encounter together, but I will report that next. in a different heading.
