It seems a foot of alleged unknown origin and classification has been turned over to MABRC principals for examination:

I assume your group is relatively certain it's not a human foot, and if you have any reason to believe it may be human, that you have contacted the proper authorities?

We do not own the foot, It was presented to us by the lady who found it in her ditch. The investigation has to work around her schedule. We will test it to find out what it is...it's that simple. Other than that we have no ownership of it. Again, we did not discover this, it was shown to us by another party who wanted our opinion of it. I can tell you this, the lady who owns it is a nurse. So why would we contact anyone on behalf of the foot other than to have it tested? I would think a nurse would know if it was human she should contact authorities. I am telling you what I MYSELF think this thing is. The lady does not know what it is. But she obviously does not think it's human, as I would expect a nurse to call the authorities before even the general public would.
We will advise her after testing, if indeed it does turn out to be human to immediately call the authorities so they can investigate.

Not to be sarcastic, however a reasonable person would conclude that because of DO's extensive history of interaction with LE that he would have at least consulted with counsel about the ramifications of being a possible accessory, after the fact should the remains ultimately be determined to actually be human?  Witholding and contamination of evidence, interference with a LE investigation are among the headlines that might be printed.

If so, this would provide the public of another vivid example (especially as DO is the one that "leaked" this news) of fanatical fervor and zeal for the limelight taking the place of common sense and simply following the law.

ETA:  It would be a shame if this "incident" turned out to be a "Biscardesque" publicity stunt ("discovery" du jour) designed to draw attention/traffic to this organization instead of a genuine event worthy of serious consideration.

After further consideration of the information available, it would appear the following may well (unfortunately) be the case:

DO accidentially "spills the beans" about the foot on the MABRC chat forum.  Roll Eyes

DW initiates a post on the main forum to say keep it all on the hush, hush.  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

One of the MABRC faithful rushes over to the BFF (where the traffic is heavier among BF enthusiasts) and starts a thread on the topic.

DO & DW also soon follow to make sure the pimping is kept at a high level.

Unfortunately, a couple of posters begin to smell something fishy (or at least sour feet) and start to question the MO of the aforementioned proponents.

Ed Smith soon weighs in and accuses those questioning the situation of having an "agenda" which is apparently SOP for Smith with anyone that disagrees/questions the party line of MABRC.

DO engages one of the main critics and successfully gets him banned and the thread locked which is a typical pattern of behavior when uncomfortable questions are raised about them on that particular forum.

I truly hope I am wrong however, given the track record of the principals involved in this "incident", I am saying this is purely a publicity stunt and after the buzz subsides, there will be no tangible result brought forward nor will any "evidence" be submitted for independent peer review.  In other words, it's all about keeping the attention and interest of the MABRC faithful, the truth be damned.

Can you say, "Wall of Fame"?

I would also like to warn people that the m.a.b.r.c. has in the past had alot of virus and trojans, spy ware, etc. when you tried to visit there site. I know that my computor was infected with 125 of such, and I had to have the experts work on it, to get it clean again. Angry. So when I  went to visit the bff site last night to see what all the hoopla was about this found foot, I again got 27 virus, trojans, and spyware again, only after clicking on a link, that darkwing (Darren Lee)had provided.  Angry.  I wonder how many people from the bff, got infected also.
It seems that the bff, lets this mabrc come over and post alot of trash, and untruths about just anything. Maybe the bff will have learned a lesson after its members and the general public, gets infected like I did by reading the trash of the mabrc, principle players, (Ed smith, darkwing, driveroperator). In fact I would say that people do as I do, and if its from any of these players, (Ed Smith, Darkwing, Driveroperator), dont read anything they say. It could save you alot of problems from getting your computor infected. The infected link, is on page 4 of the subject, and the firus is attached to a link that Darkwing provided on the forum.....beware  Angry

BM,

The Google Banners (such as those apparently on the MABRC site/links) often contain a host of spyware/malware designed to track your footprint throughout cyberspace, often for marketing purposes (such as selling your email addy/ISP, etc.) but sometimes for more nefarious intentions as well.

Theirs isn't the only site with such however, it does seem to be a big nest of such there.

driveroperator,

Just to be clear, you guys are not claiming this is a BF foot, you don't yet know what it is, right?

Thanks.

"You would be correct sir, It's shape is human, (emphasis added) but it's size is possible bigfoot. I am leaning either way on it....but hoping it's a squatch. (emphasis added) Even though the dermal on the toe is running laterally down the toe instead of swirls. I am hoping that is another squatch or primate characteristic.

from outside of the little toe to the outside of the big toe is 7 inches. the same measurement on my foot is just shy of 4 inches.

And Barbeque it has toes.....not a hoof. But keep jabbing. This is fun!"

There is no doubt I will pursue this mystery to it's conclusion. No matter the outcome.

This post pre-dates the original referenced one and the inconsistency is undeniable.

Point of clarification:

The MABRC has many members that appear to be good and decent people and none of the preceeding is meant in any way as a slight toward them.

It's the principals behavioral history that lends itself to a jaundiced view of most anything they are promoting.

Should this incident wind up with nothing more than a "foot" in the MABRC's mouth, the risk then becomes this organization becoming branded with the title: Ministry of Arrogance, Boasting & Creative Reality and the membership so infected with the results thereof.

I would call it, Hoaxing, after all they said they thought it was the foot from a bigfoot. That's there own words....then they changed it to,..
it could be a foot from bigfoot. So if it turns out to be a normal foot of a known animal, then it looks like they were hoaxing everybody, or trying to Hoax everybody.
The smart thing to do, would have been to keep there mouth shut, till they found out what it was.
But I agree #59, that they were trying to bring people to there site for updates.
And just think....wasn't to long ago, they were calling me a Hoaxer.  Cheesy Cheesy.

Ahh, sweet justice.  Wink

The latest utterances on this incident appear to indicate the item in question has been turned over to the University of Oklahoma.

Some of the discussion of said item on the BFF forum included opinions rendered that suggested something manmade may be involved.

In light of that, it would not be much of a leap in logic to conclude the item was actually a NA artifact and (per federal statutes) as such was illegal for a civilian to possess.  Turning it over to the university was likely the only course of action available otherwise a situation of possible prosecution of the parties involved may have been undertaken...or, still may be?

Latest reports indicate the "foot" now resides inside the mouth of one trust fund baby from Arkansas after having been extracted from the unrelated orifice of a former fireman.
