Great site, you posted there #59...I believe that bigfoot has the same eyes, are maybe that is a bigfoot that there showing...however, I believe that`s why the creature see`s so well at night, in that the eye`s are just like a cat eye`s and they see very well at night... Interesting article.  |

Sounds interesting.
I watched a TV program the other evening which showed a depiction of a humanoid based on one finger bone that had been found. How such a depiction could have been developed from one finger bone escaped me. (I have a friend, a woman, that is girl-sized but has hands, and feet, almost as big as mine--and I'm 6'3" tall. How would they depict her with only one finger bone to work with?) That anthropomorphism could have influenced past depictions of the Neanderthals is something that I could accept as a possibility.
I'm assuming, #59, that your posting this link on this forum indicates that you see a possibility that bigfoot might be something akin to a Neanderthal--a Neanderthal depicted as this author does?

I would also like to comment about the site listed on Us/Them. Often people take someones "THEORY" and accept it as fact. For as far as native Americans go, There is the "Bering Staight Theory". I often have to remind People that is just a mere Theory, Albeit it is the most commanly accepted theory.
The most recent scientific studies the Neanderthal now show a closer kin to modern human kind.
Now to let you know that Native Peoples can see in the dark. This is not a biological anomily but a learned ability.
No known Hominid has Cat eyes. I believe that at night, things appear to be something that they are not.

Jack, good to hear from you.
You mentioned Native Americans having a learned ability to see at night. I have a strong suspicioun that many things that we think that we can not do could be learned--if we worked at it. I made a post a little while ago about an article in The American Hunter, the NRA magazine, by a sniper who talked about learning to smell your enemy--or game.
Are you Native American? I'm Choctaw, Creek, and Cherokee that I know about. Mostly white.

Ray Ford, Yes I am a Shoshone/Paiute. I was raised on a Paiute Reservation by Shoshone Grandparents.
In Vietnam, I used my ability to see into the night, although there were times that I could not see my hand in front of my face, I had to use other senses to alert me IE smell, hearing and a human instinct that tells you when something is nearby.
Typically Rangers are taught to go on patrol, late at night so as to gain night vision. What Native Americans knew about seeing in the night is this: When you look directly at an object at night you cannot see it, but if you look to the left or right of the object, then it will come into focus.
This is a note: Shadow people cannot be seen directly but by looking using the side of your eyes, you can see them move, hard to see them when they are still. Yes I have seen Shadow people many times and found mostly that they are not there to do mischief or harm. Yes it can scare the shit out of you LOL.

The people who tend to scare it out of me are not shadow people. They are flesh and blood, carrying a rifle, dressed in blaze orange, and sometimes with a bottle in their pocket. I'll take shadow people anytime.
Speaking of having Native American Blood, I asked, several month ago, a girl at my church if she was part Cherokee. She looked it to me. She grinned and said, "I'm three different kinds of Indian, a little Black Dutch, and a whole lot of white trash." That kinda describes me.

Ray, when I was little I started to be afraid of the dark and my Grandfather told me that the dark is my friend, use it and it will be good to you, at that same time he said that there is nothing in this world to be afraid of except Man. I believe that. Humans by far are the scariest thing I have ever seen LOL

Ray, I believe that the shadow people are from an alternate reality. I think they are passing through our reality and may be as surprised as us when they catch a glimps of us.
I have pondered this for such a long time. I truely believe that all time co-exists at the same time, Past present and future. But there may also be other dimensions that also co-exists with us. I think reality is as we perceive it.
I do know that there are rifts or tears in time. I know this, because I have found some and passed through them and returned.
