I watched the show myself...much more convincing prints, track ways, scat, thermal images and videos have been collected by members of this forum in the lower 48, some of which have been under rigorous examination by Dr. Jeff and other eminent scientists in this field for some time. It was nice to see, Dr. Meldrum demonstrating some new tools in his lab.
Agree on the new tools. Things of the sort should go a long way in helping figure out this thing. Where are the things you mention that have been collected by members of this forum posted? Are they here or somewhere else or at this time still unposted? I would be interested in seeing and hearing of them.
I have no real interest in the specifics of where/when/how you got them and for sure have no intentions of trying to invade and mess with your research areas but would like to hear of such findings and see photos and such.
No reason to travel halfway around the world to re-invent a wheel, Tom Slick and Peter Byrne "patented"....fifty years ago....JMHO Hopefully they will leave the drama queen in base camp in future episodes. The "Yeti" scalp and hair samples were tested and were determined to be from a Yak, and not a primate, several years ago by leading English biologists.
I thought I had seen another show long ago that might have been that same scalp but wasn't sure it was the same one.
Unfortunately, psuedoscience in "reality" TV, has become fashionable, whether it's sensational, erroneous or just plain wrong...let's not forget this is a Sci-Fi channel series...albeit entertaining is a cable channel with dubious objectivity...JMHO
If you are truly interested in this phenomena...listen to Melissa Hovey and Kathy Strain interview with Robert W. Morgan, on the "Let's Talk Bigfoot" series two weeks ago, on Talkshoe internet radio. There is a wealth of useful information in that interview, especially when compared to the editorial discussion John, Pat and myself gave last Sunday evening...JMHO
I'm kinda ignorant of such matters. You'll have to help me out by giving me a URL or something to find my way to it. I'd like to see/hear but have no clue how to go about finding it myself. Do you have a URL for it?
Who is this Melissa? I recall her from your radio show I listened to but am not really familiar with who she is. Is she a member here as well?
As you might guess I'm not all that up to speed on such matters. I do have a passing interest in the subject or I'd not have set this site up for you guys to share your information with us and others. But I'm not by any means a serious student of such matters. My health and finances don't really allow me to travel and get out to do the field research as you guys can so I'm kinda stuck reading about it here or watching shows about it.
I do agree most of what I see on TV is more about showmanship than science. That gal on the expedition had absolutely no business being there. I commented on that several times during the show.
