Did anyone else watch the Destination Truth episode tonight on the search for Yeti in the Himalayas? They were within sight of Everest and found two foot prints one a full foot and the other a partial of the heel of other foot.

They made casts and took lots of photos. The casts were taken to Dr. Jeff Meldrum who scanned them both in and looked at the 3D rendering on computer. He was convinced the partial of the heel fit well enough when reversed and superimposed on the full print that he was convinced it was confirmation of a left and right print of same creature.

He further compared them to many other aminals like bears, apes, etc and concluded that it wasn't a tree dweller based on foot configuration and wasn't a bear. The toes were splayed widely in the print and he says he'd never seen that in a bear print and configuration just wasn't right for a bear either.

His evaluation was that the pair of casts were a very significant find and to him some of the best evidence ever found of the possible existence of the Yeti and that further expeditions should be under taken for additional research.

The one thing most convincing to me was the true remoteness of this location, the difficulty of carrying the equipment you'd need to properly fake such tracks and the fact hardly anyone would ever go to such remote areas other than to look for Yeti or to climb Mount Everest.

They also visited a monastry with what is claimed to be the skull cap of a Yeti and allowed it to be filmed but not touched and refused the request for a hair from it to evaluate what it really was. The monk in charge said he knew what it was and just really didn't care if anyone else believed it or not.

There have been hundreds of reported Yeti sightings in the valley where they were doing this research.

It was a very interesting show.
