The bigfoot clan around my property uses one tree in particular to watch what goes on around the house and barn area, anytime someone goes up the hill towards them, they drop down and disappear.  I've been told this is what is called a Sentinel.  Just thought I would share this picture, try to jump start this forum in the right direction.

If you look close enough, you can see one in the tree, laying on the limb.  (Big black area in the middle)

Interesting. I tried expanding the image to make the black blob in tree better defined but there is not enough detail in the photo to allow that. Do you have any such images where you used a higher magnification lens that will allow more detail?

I am working on getting a telephoto lens on my camera so I can zoom in, the digital camera I am using is at full zoom here, this is nearly a mile up behind the house.

Do you have another (reference) picture of this shot using the same camera, etc. w/o anything in the tree?

Interesting picture.

It appears to me that, referencing the photo that you posted, you might be able to go to the tree and take some measurements which would give you a fair idea of the size of the object/critter in the tree.  You said the tree was a mile from your house.  Was that the distance at which the picture was taken?

Have you examined the tree for hair, climb marks, or other such indicators?  How about tracks on the ground around the base of the tree.  Having asked these questions, it occurs to me that, if critters are using that tree, you might not want to disturb the area.

Have you looked at the object/critter in the tree with binoculars or a rifle scope--not with the intention of shooting.  If you have, could you give us some details of its appearance?

Thanks for posting.

Would love to see a pic for comparisons. (I just love pictures. Thats the brat in me) There are several people including Saycheez that work with pictures. I believe Cheez is a member here. I think I saw him post here before.
The only thing I do with pics is change the gamma and enlarge them. Sunflower taught me some tricks with contrast and color that helps at times also.
She is very good with pictures also. Thanks for sharing the picture.

All that aside. I have no doubt that the big guys like to enjoy the daily activities of the comings and goings of the little guys.

A reference photo would certainly prove valuable in establishing the authenticity of this picture plus it would likely rule out NONYA'S Jack Link's "star" offering.   Wink

As soon as I get back home, I will get a reference picture loaded up, in Arkansas helping clear away debris from the storm.

Hmmmmmmmm... Huh

No higher magnification photo?  As per Bill.
I guess you never got that telephoto lens onto your camera.
No reference photo?  As per John.
I guess you never did get back from Arkansas.
No measurements or answers to questions?  As per me.

Hmmmmmmmm... Huh

Unfortunately, you may well be waiting for a long time.  The due diligence conducted (so far) appear to indicate appearances that markedly differ from the known facts.  As Thom Powell (in his book) mentioned, such is the state of Sasquatchery.  Sad

There was recently a similar incident over on http://www.alabamabigfoot.com/ which (allegedly) involved a party posturing as someone they eventually turned out not to be and were busted out by the site owner.  Wonder if there's a correlation with this situation ?
