It appears that (of late) there has been a rash of incidents (on several websites) where people are registering and posting under one name while actually being someone entirely different and/or using proxy IP's, etc.

Am not sure if this is considered mainstream "hoaxing" or simply juvenile behavior...in any event, it certainly diminishes the credibility and standing of the perpetrator(s).

Quite a difference there (Alabama BF site) as no attempt was made to conceal my identity since their software wouldn't work (using telahnay's g'son) and the situation was disclosed up front to the powers that be...now, you wouldn't go by the alias of buck shot  would ya?...poor BS (buck shot) was banned from that site yesterday...also, is your ISP hughes.net ?..of course, there's a fella just a tad north of my location that uses that ISP...hmmmm ?

While this site is primarily devoted to the "study" of all things BF...it seems studying the "BF'ers" is much more enlightening especially concerning the human nature of those dudes.

I doubt that the Alabama Forum has a glitch in it that wouldn't allow you to use Telahnay's g'son.  Their forum system is about the same as all of the others.  Nice try.

Nope, I use Pywacket everywhere I go.   When I am gigging somebody on a forum I want them to know who it is that is gigging them. I sure as hell would never use the name "buck shot".

Yeah, and I have been meaning to ask you.  How come you spend more time talking about what other bigfoot researchers are doing instead of the "actual" discussion of bigfoot.

Seems you are more concerned about what your neighbors are doing in the field.  What's up with that?

From the Alabama BF forum...

Nokosee

After looking into this, it was plain to see what was happening.

You made no attempt to hide your identity when you first joined this forum. You even posted about who you where and what name you usually post under. You stated that Nokosee is a word used by of one of the Native American tribes, that means bear.

The forum would not take your usual name because of the punctuation.

To the former member..I have but one thing to say. The rules: The use of this forum for your own private agenda, no matter what it maybe, is forbidden.

The Admin.

Craig, discussing and disclosing the antics of "researchers" such as you is not only amusing entertainment but a case "study" in some of the things that are so wrong in this area and why progress has been so elusive.

See the above answer.

Those were very good questions and no boom box was used in answering them.  Wink
