About five months before the pictures were posted to the BFF, these pictures were sent to the MABRC for evaluation, on the condition that we kept them within the group and not post to the public.
They were evaluated and discovered to be a hoax, as it turned out to be a publicity stunt for a movie.
We were pretty confident that the authors of the hoax were trying to use the MABRC as an outlet for these pictures, hoping we would release them to the public. We didn't.

And this was supposedly a picture for comparison. What killed it, was the fact that the guy was standing about 30 feet farther away from where the creature stood.
