On Wednesday evening, I caught a "Monster Quest" episode dealing with what they called a "water ape" on Vancouver Island.  I found it interesting--interesting because it offered up the three things that have made me think that there might be a bigfoot out there somewhere:  (1) Sightings by apparently credible people.  (2) Tracks, and casts thereof, that are apparently authentic.  (3) Indian names.

The sightings seemed concentrated in areas close to water.  One sighting was of one of the critters on a log over water with his/her hand in the water as though trying to catch a fish or some other water dweller.
And there were piles of shells similar to Oklahoma's mussel shells.  This corresponds with my notion that bigfeet, if they exist, might be fish eaters.

Interesting program.

Yup I saw it also. I thought it hilarious that the best evidence they could muster for the visit was a supposed hot spot on a limb of a tree over their head on the FLIR. Kinda amazing how all those folks what see bears regularly can't tell what one is when they see it. Oh well.
