I keep reading where the only way science will recognize BF as being real is if they have a body.
My big question is this, if someone actually kills a BF, turns the body over to the scientific community, will all the forests be deemed protected where the public will not be allowed in them again, as it is "his" property.
Much like what happened after the "ivory billed woodpecker" someone thought they saw one in Arkansas some years back. No photo or other proof, it stopped a big highway project.
Of course someone will kill one given a chance, personal riches above the entire country's wilderness opportunities.

I wouldn't kill one, except in self defense. Maybe a body will be found, maybe protected status then is needed, as long as it isn't a rational for closing State and Federal lands.

You've got that right, Powderman. It does seam silly to protect something that dosen't exist.....unless they know something we don't know.

Personally I believe this creature exists in the spirit realm and only occasionally enters our domaine. What I'm saying is I don't believe you could kill one if you tried.  Roll Eyes  And old missionary to mexico told me years ago "some demons you can shoot out and some you must cast out".
