There has been much discussion and debate on the basic physical characteristics of this subject with regional differences being the most often touted basis for such.

If these beings did indeed arrive by the same means (Bering Straits) as many of the First Americans did and they (BF) are decendants of Gigantopithicus WHY wouldn't they be subject to the same adaptive (evolutionary) forces as the rest of the flora and fauna on this continent?

Couple that with possible cross-breeding (NA accounts of adbuctions, etc.) and it may be entirely possible that the BF (as a grouping) has a wide variance of physical characteristics.

Anyone have any commentary?

That is something to think about.

Regardless of NA accounts of abductions, I do not believe bigfoot have crossed bred with humans.

You can't cross breed an ape and a human.  Just like you can't cross breed a pig and a human.

What if they "ain't" no ape?

And if they aren't an ape, what, pray tell, do you think they are?

No one knows for sure (at the present time) but many that have looked them in the face walked away with a deeper appreciation of what NA folks have often referred to as "The Other People".

Forget the undies...vaseline & sand!  Wink

After Chandra's experience down on the Spring river I'd bet she's safe at home writing the fictional book as she was rather terrified by the SF with an attitude.

No, but I understand a certain "fireman" is into that gig!  Shocked

Her habituation thoughts went out the window that afternoon the SF growled/screamed at her from the river bluff.  She sprinted across the pasture for ~1/3 mile back to her car and has never set foot back on the property.  She's really a good kid (11 mos. older than my eldest daughter) but was rather green when it came to dealing with the fact that SF like humans come in a variety of sizes and dispositions.

That fireman from the village people?  Grin

I like Mobigfoot...she is like a naive little sister ......she started messing around with the dark side though....mebbe without really knowing what she was dealing with.....there are evil spirits in the woods also...and you got to be careful with what kind of thing you are dealing with.....because...they will try to fool you....she was wanting to open herself up spiritually to things out in the woods....you got to protect yourself from spiritual attack...as well as physical attack....some folk are not spiritual....and are not aware of both sides of this world we live in.....thats why they are vulnerable...thats why there is so much fighting and back biting and lying in Bigfoot research...the old Scratch is got em all mean and nasty!

R,

You may be on to something in her case as after her frightening encounter she implored us to come up and take down the malolevent Sasquatch...but when Dr. Wallace, D.G. & I arrived and reconned the entire section we found nothing out of the ordinary and I had no bad vibes whatsoever...perhaps, she was dealing with bad mojo and not a Sas with an attitude after all?

I know of some people in Talequah that work on the dark side and it is truly not something to take lightly.
