I do feel that this will decimate the number of attendees, being unable to take pictures or record anything.

This is way overboard, plus the fact that Sharonlee is giving VIP press treatment.
I'm stating now to the public, I will not attend this conference. It has bottomed out now. The MABRC built that conference up, and I will not be subjected to armed guards at the door because someone thinks he's supercop.

I'm not sure what he is so concerned about, and so far, they haven't announced a price tag, there hasn't been much in the way of advertisement this year.
"Bog wrote: read something on facebook regarding TBIG working with law enforcement offices a lot since Troy works in the same field."
Troy was a security guard for the VA Hospital in Texas, he was since fired from there for indiscretions. His working with law enforcement is debatable.

The irony is one of the MABRC founders initiated basically the same threats against potential attendees at last years' (2009) Honobia BF Conference.
Again got two-faced ?

NOTICEJust got off the phone with Ms. Vera Nelson of the Talihina Chamber of Commerce regarding the 2010 Honobia BF Festival website link...which isn't working at present. She was aware of it and said the IT people were working on the situation and expects the link to be back up and running shortly. I told her we would keep it up on the top post in this thread. Also, I visited with her about the fundraising scheme implemented by MABRC principals (see above post) and the money being raised (the Wall of Fame on the MABRC website showing who and how much $$'s has apparently been hidden/deleted) on behalf of the Talihina COC to help underwrite expenses for the 2009 Honobia BF Festival. I asked her 3X and she repeated (each time) that to the best of her knowledge the Talihina COC did not receive a single dime from any MABRC principals for the festival expenses. Uh-oh! IF (granted, it's a big one) Todtkaufman is actually a bonafide third party and his "contribution" was not paid to the party (Talihina CoC) as apparently so designated...what legal situation(s) possibly comes to mind? 2. IF Todtkaufman is actually a sockpuppet creation of one or more persons and the above quoted publications are in fact those of said persons...what legal situation(s) possibly come to mind? 3. Does todtkaufman actually have a receipt from the Talihina CoC? Ms. Nelson communicated to me that she gave out only one such receipt and that was to a company that donated binders for the printed material. Is this train now pulling into the station? ETA: Item #3

Follow up...
Spoke with Ms. Nelson this afternoon regarding a request she had made of me and during our visit it was communicated to me that (allegedly) the MABRC leadership was upset with the Talihina CoC (post-festival) for declining their demand for a share of the gate receipts even though no mention was (allegedly) made of it prior to the Honobia BF Festival nor was any agreement to such an arrangement ever executed before/after the event.
This may possibly go a long way in explaining MABRC's departure from the event?

Ms. Nelson has asked that if anyone has copies, screen shots, etc. of the Wall of Fame that was posted on the MABRC website showing who and how much $$'s had been pledged/paid to help underwrite the 2009 Honobia BF Festival to please forward this information directly to her at the Talihina CoC's website email addy via: http://www.talihinacc.com/ and the direct email link is: http://www.talihinacc.com/contact . However, feel free to post it up on this website/forum/thread as we have nothing to hide.

It's looking more and more like DW & DO are going to have to pony up all of the $$'s they raised for the 2009 conference in the form of a check to the Talihina CoC.
I reckon they could sell the 4-wheeler ATV that was purchased just prior to the 2009 event?

Post subject: Re: (Announcement) Honobia Bigfoot Conference 2010 Posted: Tue Sep 14, 2010 8:02 pm At the request of bthemonkey, we are trying to find out who all will be attending the conference and if anyone will be researching or camping out down there from the MABRC, this way we can maybe coordinate everyone together. I will be there hopefully on Saturday to accept recognition for the MABRC and our work on the conference for the last three years, but I won't be camping out, just breezing in and breezing out.

I wonder if he's going to "breeze" in with a check for the proceeds from last year's fund raiser?

BTW, in their attempt to backfill regarding any "misunderstanding" (in a thread over on the new BFF) a "hugs & kisses" type email exchange between Ms. Nelson of the Talihina Coc and Darren Lee regarding him being a speaker at the 2010 Conference is featured.
This email is allegedly dated the first of June, 2010.
Problem is, Ms. Nelson was not apprised of the MABRC Wall of Fame fund raising scheme until August 10, 2010.

Hello Everyone
I have been with the Honobia Bigfoot Festival Committee for the last 4 years. MBRC and TexLa hosted the last one and this year it will be a new face and some of the best information ever compiled about Sasquatch. Stay tuned for the name of the host. Something I can tell you is that this year there will be more information and content related to answers to questions that people have about Sasquatch.
See you there.
TBIG
Just to set the record straight, the MABRC has ended our hosting of the Honobia Bigfoot Conference, as it placed too much strain on resources for the group, last year, 2009,. I personally spent about 4 grand putting this event on I would rather much prefer hosting the MABRC Oklahoma 2011 Bigfoot Conference and see the money brought in, actually be put into research and equipment instead of not having any given to the hosting group like before.
Besides, after last year's (2009) event, I doubt anyone can top how well it was put together, and I didn't want to try topping myself on it, too much work. [/b]
Wonder if that's where the "Wall of Fame" funds went???

Note to Darren W. Lee of MABRC:
Sir, as you frequent this forum (and my blog) and are still a registered member on this site, why not clear the air for once and all by publically explaining (and/or furnishing the evidence) exactly where the funds went (as per your former Wall of Fame thread on the MABRC website) that were raised for the 2009 Honobia BF Festival and designated (again, per the WoF thread) to be remitted to the Talihina Chamber of Commerce?
People are wanting to know...
Where's the money?

Also, it has recently been alleged that several speakers were stiffed (2009 Conference) on their fees/travel expenses. Any comments (here) regarding such allegations?
