I sit on the front porch most every morning watching to see if any are raiding the orchard. So far I've not seen any there.  Shocked

There is a apple tree out in the woods about 8 miles from our village. A older indian friend told me there were 3 trees years ago but someone dug up 2 of them. Of course this one bears no fruit, he needs a friend to do that. I've thought about planting another apple tree nearby so they could start bearing fruit but don't really know what kind to get or how to go about it............Might make good bigfoot bait if I could get them producing some fruit.

The existing apple tree is in a patch of ferns, so there is no bare ground around it. Any ideas?

Regards, Byron
