A few more details are emerging:

There are (allegedly) ~40 hours of HD quality video that will render the situation as unequivocal in veracity.

The Discovery Channel is (allegedly) going to run a ~24 episode series on this deal.

We shall see.

Ya know...

After watching the somewhat melodramatic trailer I am wondering why such a cryptic vein was chosen.  Seems long on marketing and thin on science.  Hope this doesn't turn out to be another dud for if it is especially after Erickson purportedly spent bazillions on the project, you may as well fold the BF researcher tent and leave the mystery to be solved by some 16 year old country kid like the preacher mused.

The latest rumor is the series (~20 episodes) is being moved from the Discovery Channel to National Geographic.

Also, from what I have been conveyed (off the record) about this series is it will likely set the world of sasquatchery as well as mainstream science on it's ear(s) and probably make for the wholesale demise of the plethora of bush-league, hillbilly & armchair BF websites.  If so, good riddance.

IMO, this project will either set bigfootery firmly into mainstream considerations or send it to the next level of purgatory far beyond even the Georgia Boys fiasco.
